Sustainability at the ICC

Olympia's event venues have sent no waste to landfill for 15 years and recycles 98% of it. We were one of the first UK events venues to sign the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, committing to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and reduce total GHG emissions by 50% by 2030.

We provide each event organiser with a post-event sustainability report showing the environmental impact of each conference, exhibition or live event. This includes environmental impacts such as travel, energy, waste and overall carbon footprint. With comparisons to other events, these reports create opportunities for year on year improvements.

Made up of 20 ethical, organic and local suppliers, our produce comes from our local specialist supply chain, London Larder, helping to reduce carbon footprints associated with food production and transportation. Our supply chain expertly crafts the offering for our customers, championing sustainability to the very last bite.

From clients to venue partners, we collaborate wherever possible to drive sustainability across the event industry and inspire others to achieve best practice, whether that be through reducing food waste, plastic use, or even providing food donations to our local community.

We are continually investing more in digital solutions to reduce carbon from printed items. For example, a state-of-the-art digital cloakroom system offering fully electronic ticketing.
