Olympia London was the venue for a slice of history over the weekend of 24-25 June as KaplaBen took to the show floor to successfully construct the official new world record for the tallest wooden tower made using KAPLA planks, reaching a height of 26 metres.
The previous record of 18.76 metres from 2021 was cleared with ease and a member of the The Guinness World Records team on hand to verify the achievement.
The tower was collapsed via a domino-style effect but the record-breakers weren’t satisfied with their efforts and broke their own record by rebuilding the tower to a staggering 27.46 metres high before a final collapse on the evening of Tuesday 28 June.

It was fantastic that we were able to welcome several school children to the venue over the weekend too to witness the construction and inspire the next generation of artists, architects and designers.
